Our Charity Activities

Over the last few years, the Townville HOG Chapter has gone from strength to strength thanks to the on- going contribution of the membership. As part of this success we are looking to further engage with the broader community.

Whilst we will not be aligning with a specific charity, we are pleased to be engaging the Rollingstone Lions Club to work with us this year to deliver another successful Chapter Challenge. Engaging in partnerships with organisations that are already well established in the charity arena can only assist our Chapter make meaningful charitable contributions within our local community.

Importantly, our sponsoring dealership has been associated with the cystic fibrosis cause for some time.

We are more than aware that there are potentially many deserving people in the broader Townsville community. As we are a “not for profit organisation”, the Chapter Committee will have to carefully consider all applications for assistance. However, with limited funds and scope to raise money for charity limited by what we can do as a club, we need to ensure that our charitable support is carefully considered by both membership and the committee.

We are all aware that the focus of the Chapter is to ride; however, from time to time we will pool some funds for a worthy cause. Making some worthy donations to the community will further develop our ties with the broader community who will hopefully also gain an understanding of what a great club we are.

By providing a contribution we may make some people's life a little easier and perhaps some people may achieve dreams that they have been unable to fulfil.
