Welcome to the official site of the Townsville chapter of the Harley Owners Group.
The Harley Owners Group (HOG) was created in 1983 in the form of chapters which now span the globe with a collective membership of over a million Harley Davidson enthusiasts. The benefits of joining a chapter are many and revolve around sharing a passion for riding a legend of the motorcycle world with folk who enjoy the enduring friendships, socialsing and just having fun. The chapters introduce new Harley owners as well as the more experienced Harley rider to a relaxed community of like minded individuals.
The Townsville chapter commenced 19 years ago in 1992 and is located in tropical North Queensland. Our riding season is almost unlimited as Townsville is famous for its endless days of sunshine. Open roads, a large range of entertainment and sporting activities that cater for all tastes, quality estblishments and restaurants, beaches and much more are the draw card for an enjoyable riding visit to our region.
Townsville HOG strives to uphold the values of HOG as a non-political and family orientated club whose main aim as motoring enthusiasts is to share in the joy of riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. We are an incorporated association and uphold the HOG Charter, our Rules of Incorporation and other relevant legislation.
We have over 60 full and associate members with our chapter continuing to grow steadily. Townsville Harley Owners Group Inc. is looking forward to working with our new principal dealers who are as we speak building the new Harley Davidson home in Townsville.
Club meetings are held on the first Sunday of every month at the West End Hotel, 89 Ingham Road, West End (Townsville Yellow Pages Ref: Map 6, L15). Meetings usually commence at nine thirty with a directors ride schedulded shortly thereafter. An excellent buffet style breakfast is available at the West End Hotel so have an enjoyable Sunday breakfast prior to the meeting and ride.
